(on another local expat site recently)
author: Kindles… I give in im buying a kindle ..
loads of good books on the app for 99 pence ****
it's all done via Amazon. You register your kindle to your Amazon account. ****
Love my kindle, no more books , storage no longer a problem ****
I got a paperback but can’t read it, text too small ****
you can change the text size ****
You won’t regret it, I love mine, had one for years now. It’s so convenient to have it backlit, you can use it outside without a light on to read, no mosquito’s. Fits in your bag better too. Enjoy ****
If you put the kindle app on an iPad it’s great for reading things like magazines, cookbooks etc. that are better on a larger screen. Another advantage of a kindle is you can read at night without disturbing anyone by having to have the light on. ****
I bought a paperback for 16€. Costs 3€ on Kindle. ****

(on another local expat site recently author: When you buy 2nd hand books from the UK or USA, do Correos charge extortionate amounts when they deliver them? (I'm asking specifically about books, as I've had other general gift stuff sent and been charged so much that I no longer do it, but haven't tried with books. Wondering if they have the same aduana rules as other stuff...) Street Cats Rescue have lots of good books to buy at their markets **** author: Thanks, I need some specific books for studying though... Buy a kindle solves problems **** author: Yes I suppose, but I love real books! I sent a stiff card from UK to a friend in Barrosa stating content was a card .My friend had to pay euros 6.50 on delivery!! **** Do as we have for many years, buy or order in UK ,bring them back yourself,or ask visitors!! **** author: Yes, it's an option, but I don't go back often and need them sooner... I got charged a tenner for receiving a book last year **** author: Oh no, nightmare! Makes it so expensive. spainbox.com/impuestos-y-aranceles-para-importar.../I hope you can understand it or at least translate it. ****
