author: Hello All. We are about to welcome 2 new additions to our family.... chickens! Never had them before so not much idea about what to do. Internet is a wonderful thing. Key question is whether anyone knows somewhere in Chiclana where we can buy the necesaries Grit, bedding, food, straw etc ? Have built a coop and run an ordered Feeder and waterer. Thanks
We have chickens, we use shavings for bedding which you can buy in bales . We feed them campero which has seeds and corn and also ponerdor granulado which is for hens that lay. We get our supplies from Avila fornal. ****
Garola and Avila. ****
Avila Fornell ****
Agroconil sells food molido and with seeds. I think it’s called agropuesto and agrocampero. Garola sells this white powder, I think it is called tierra dormitorio or similar which is perfect to prevent the chicken from getting ácaros. And I also have mine on shavings. And I recommend to put them a little nest so they lay there eggs there, I took one of those black plástic baskets you see everywhere. Enjoy your new familymembers😍chicken are so cute and funny:)) ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi everyone! I’m starting to build a chicken coop and I’m wondering if someone in the group has Barnevelder or Wyandotte breeds? My Dutch wife is pretty attached for the dutchies breeds 😄 We are looking for some chicks. Thanks!
Give agricentro la pedriza a try - they sell different breeds of chicks and if they don't have them then can probably get them for you ****
