You can buy from most agricultural warehouses life sized owls and/or eagles that let off a cry that meant to keep prey birds away that may do the job ****
Get a cat ****
would love one but not always in Chiclana unfortunately ****
I still have 5 nests of the swifts which we've had for months now and they don't leave til August - crap everywhere, every morning. Just something we have to put up with unfortunately. My chickens use my top step as a bird bath when it gets too hot. Just part and parcel ****
A dummy owl should do the trick. Works with seagulls. ****
A cat will do more harm that good. ****
We used to have problems with the crows eating the figs from our tree, so we bought one of those owls you are referring to but we put it on the end of a long pole and stuck it in the tree. The idea of putting it on a pole was that you could move it around to different parts of the tree to stop the birds from figuring out it wasn't a real threat to them. We moved it every few days and I must say it worked a treat. We lost very few figs but our neighbours who didn't do this (even though we told them about it) had their tree stripped. ****
