(on another local expat site recently) author: Are there any nurses/care givers out there who are looking for work please? I am getting requests via ChiFRA-Age Concern and the suitable people on my list are already fully committed. Mostly getting requests for a couple of hours a day to help out but there may be a demand for full time work as well. Please pm me.
Try posting this on Chiclana Alerta - I’m sure there are many Spanish local people suited to these requests who would be grateful for the opportunity. ****

✅ On the night of December 24th and 31st and on December 25th and January 1st in the morning, there will be no pick-up service.
So we ask that garbage is not deposited in the bins these days, to prevent them from collapsing🙏🏼

(on another local expat site recently) author: I would like to do some volunteer work in the Spanish system in Chiclana working with disabled children/adults or something similar. Does anyone know where I can go for this type of thing? Don’t really know where to start. Not to hijack the thread but I would be very interested in helping the homeless is there anywhere I can do to do this also? **** As the last thread on this was closed for comments I wanted to get back to you having talked to the leadership team at Calor en la noche. It turns out that they only have operations connected to La Salle church homes which is why there may not be operating in your area. Many of my fellow volunteers in Jerez also volunteer in kitchens that provide daily meals to the homeless. Your best bet would be to head to any large Catholic churches in your area and ask there. **** I helped work in the kitchens making food for homeless and people with little income a few years ago. I got that by being part of the church here in chiclana so that's best bet go in see the pastor and he can put you on a list. It was a great volunteer job. I stopped only because of work. **** I love the idea, I am a pediatric doctor of physical therapy in the states and I also would love to do some volunteer work with kids… if you find a place can you share the info with me? Thank you **** Here is a link so maybe you could contact them. My sister in law was doing it for a while until my father in law became sick. asociacionlafundacion.org/ **** You could ask if they need help here. They are in the El Campito park in Chiclana.https://www.asodown.org **** autismocadiz.org/ ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: What are the pros and cons of being autónomo (self employed) in Spain ? Uuufffff how long you got! Fors and against for sure depends on what is starting and if it's going to hopefully be successful.. but its a fine balance. The Good news is there's less to pay for the first year which didn't happen in the past. That's helpful for someone starting up. ...also paying into pension which also helps ..everything depends on your options.**** gotta work for 15 years to get pension tho! **** yes indeed...but it's better than nought **** obviously depends on how old when they start!!! Us oldies no good for now..**** Healthcare for you and family is a plus Pension is a plus mutua good benefits Now it goes of how much you earn so can get quite high now no more €300 a month all in type thing regardless of what you earn. There is a lot to consider depending on personal circumstances **** Healthcare is a pro and peace of mind that you're fully legal **** It's a pro if you have a big family and dependents. If you are single and a high earner then the system is against you unfortunately. **** www.infoautonomos.com/ser-autonomo-o-no/ This may be useful

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi all! Just after a little advice. Has anybody came out to Spain from the UK on an employment visa after Brexit??.. If so please could you comment if you don’t mind me dropping you a DM for a bit of advice please thank you
There is no 'employment visa' per se. Do you mean has anyone been sponsored to come to Spain through a Spanish company? Or, do you mean the DNV visa? We arrived on the Digital Nomad Visa last year. There are many visas, it's probably a good idea to speak to an immigration specialist to help decide which one works best for your circumstances. ****
