Yes, see "Chiclana Foreign Residents' Association" Facebook Page and keep an eye on the launch of the new website at chifra.co. Unfortunately we have had some problems with emailing which I hope to address once the website is finished. Dave Dransfield is Chair and he can be reached at the Age Concern Lifeline number 634 31 52 89. We have recently upgraded some mobility equipment which can be borrowed on payment of a security deposit. Additional Committee Members would be welcomed as well as Volunteers to get folk to hospital appointments and shopping, social visiting etc. ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Happy Weekend everyone. I have now been able to email all the members of ChiFA - Age Concern asking for a response before Tuesday 18 July to the question " do you wish to continue your membership?" However, there may be folk who have changed their email address and slipped through the net so if anyone out there has changed their details in the last 3 years, please email chifra.age@yahoo.com to indicate you would lke to remain members. Indeed email us if you are new to Chiclana in last 3 years and would like to join, new members most welcome.
I recommend this group and encourage people new to the area to join ; and maybe even volunteer ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi lovely people, my ChiFRA-Age Concern Volunteers list has shrunk due to various personal circumstances. Is there anyone else out there who may be able to help? We are not particularly busy but I don't like to leave us unprepared for any emergency that may crop up. Volunteers are needed who can take folk to doctor/hospital appointments, maybe shopping and so on. Thanks in anticipation
