Easter Lilies are starting to bloom with the warmer weather - but don't forget that this can spell danger for our cats! All parts of the Lily plant are very poisonous to cats, and can lead to kidney failure which is sadly often fatal. This includes the stem, leaves and flower - but also the yellow pollen on the stamens that you can see in this photo. If you know or suspect that your cat may have eaten pollen, then call your vet immediately for advice!
Amazing Vet Practice. Saved more than one of my animals ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Does anyone have any advice to keep cats off my wall? They use it like the M25. I’m not really a cat person, however would never harm one. My pups go absolutely ballistic when they see them walking on the wall. It’s only a matter of time before one of my pups gets injured as the cat would win I have tried citrus peel, pepper, sticky back tape, tin foil and the keep away sprays. I have seen the plastic spike strip you can buy however the feedback on them is not great. I’m at a loss
Have you tried a water gun or something really noisy? When they see the water close to them they usually run not necessary to aim to them directly ****
author: I would end up standing at the window all the time. Good idea though just not a solution for me
If you picked up your pup and approached the cats, he may see there’s nothing to get excited about, especially if the cat reacts to him. Good luck ****
author: I have tried that but with 30 + cats a day
Chill powder rub in on the path they go ****
author: and when it’s windy I’m sure it will blow away ? Thanks though
No not if you rub it in . Or chill oils ****
maybe make a paste with the powder with water or oil then you can spread it on ****
author: ahhhhhh. Now there is a good idea Yes, I do like the sound of that ! Thanks. Will give that a go over the weekend

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi, we just moved to Chiclana. Previous owners have left their 3 cats behind, without mentioning to us... Are there any animals association where we can borrow traps to capture them so that we can have them checked and neutered? And suggestions for vets with competitive prices please. TIA
Oh dear, naughty trick. But yes - if you Street Cats Rescue they can advise on vets & possibly special rates & probably lend a trap. ****

🪤 which cat is already 'done' to avoid taking them to the vet for neutering for a second time. 😻 The cut is done under anaesthetic, it does not bleed much and does not hurt.
