(on another local expat site recently) author: Is there a web site where I can get information on being a senior in Spain. I'm trying to plan the future. We are in our early seventies. Plus what the Spanish health system offers. this one is a pretty useful site and it was updated recently so will have the current information https:// www.expatica.com/.../reti.../retire-in-spain-166570/ **** This site is good and gives you lots of info on services and discounts cards etc https:// www.juntadeandalucia.es/.../m-tarjeta-andalucia... **** You should apply for a senior citizen card. Through that, and only with that, you can get many benifits, including home care and a carers allowance. My mum has a wonderful carer who did it with her as she knows the system and speaks English. Let me know and I will pass on her number. Very sensible. I have elderly parents here and It is worth being registered on this system. Age concern may also have info. **** I would like the carer's number too **** Here is her number 662405036. Her name is Cuyen. ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Any recommendations for somebody who can help me obtain a copy of my white NIE Certificate quickly ?
Bethan Trebilcock at Temple Cambria for any paperwork. I have lived in Spain since 1998 and never been asked for the origanal copy since getting my residencia. if anyone asks for my NIE I just show my TIE card and that's always been accepted even for legal and tax purposes. ****
author: I was asked this morning. Thanks for the recommendation
Bethan Trebilcock: Your nie is your tie if you are a resident as you say. Thank you for the recommendation
