Neil Robertson v Shaun Murphy. Coverage of the opening match of the first round from Alexandra Palace in London
played over the best of 11 frames. Robertson is the reigning champion, having defeated Barry Hawkins 10-4 in last year's final.
It was the second time he had won the trophy, with the other coming when he defeated this afternoon's opponent in the showpiece match of the 2012 tournament.
They also met in the 2015 final, with Murphy prevailing on that occasion
