(on another local expat site recently) author: Woodlice! Anyone else got a problem? Recommendations for eradication? We have an infestation!
They're harmless. All over at the moment, just their time of year. Live and let live! ****
We have loads, like the m62 round our path, they don't do any harm apparently and are good for the grass, just wish they would stay in it ****
If you mean the little roly poly things that are everywhere at the moment - get yourself a chicken or a gecko - they eat them all!! ****
author: I’ve got the geckos. A chicken may not make to the first roly poly with my dogs! there are loads this year - think because the summer has started too early ****
author: Way more than usual! Eggs in every possible place
author: They are right thru the house & in the furniture!
Ben Walby loads of stuff on Google. Seems most ant deterrants will help. Removing food source, damp, mould…..usual sort of things. Good luck

Woodlice are a symptom of dampness and dead organic material. They don't like dry areas. ****

(on another local expat site recently) sorry not able to transfer pictures of the missing dog author: Paola Blando
❗ To the people who have Pitt (dog), begged him to give him back, if those people could just one day be in my place, and feel what I feel in my heart, if they did not sleep, if they will cry until they can no more, if they went to get him 3 or 4 hours per day biking and they felt the physical fatigue, my legs and needles pain, if they felt the discomfort and helplessness, they would not hesitate to give it back, they have taken something that does not belong to them, I will not retaliate, I will not judge, I will not hold grudges, just return Pitt, please
And to the rest of the people please send messages to the TV channels to help me spread the word about Pitt's loss thank you Lost Chiclana de la Frontera / Salinas Pinar de la Canary Islands / mobile: 658 97 93 83 / 653 16 06 14

Picture will help and I can then search posts ****

It was the missing dog from the pics but someone would deffo have thrown him over the wall! At least he was away from traffic so didn’t get run over ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi there! Was wondering if anyone uses a GPS tracker on their dogs? Looking for recommendations as there seem to be loads on the market! TIA
Tractve, pricey but reliable , in use with 2 dogs ****
I've ordered a pit pat no subscription ****
I use an apple tag, but a friend of mine had Tracktive (from Amazon). You have to buy the device and a subscription but if you turn it on you can track anywhere, and it even tells you what movement the dog has during the day and such ****
author: ive read that apple tags have to be within a certain distance of the phone to work though, have you found this the case? Ive heard of tracktive but was trying to avoid the whole subscription thing
Unfortunately the best ones are pricey and subscriptions based. ****
Apple and Samsung tags can work but I've no personal experience. ****
I tried a cheap tag yonks ago but it was unreliable ****
author: thank youu yes its the whole subscription thing i was trying to avoid but does seem to be the most reliable from what i have been reading!
