VET IN THE HOUSE 🏡
In Clinic the Veterinary Clinic Alora we have a service that maybe few people know, we make home visits for those clients who can't get to our clinic. Although we always recommend visiting our facilities, because in your home we do not have testing tools in case we needed, but if we can carry tracking the animal, reviews, supplies r the meds etc etc....
If you have these mobility problems both your pet and you, do not hesitate to ask us without any obligation for this service 😊

(on another local expat site recently) author: Hi there, we are arriving to Chiclana very soon with 4 dogs and 1 cat. We are looking in advance for a good Vet, we need to get EU pet passports for all of them. We will be staying in the “Rana Verde” area. TIA. Veterinaria del Mar, they are in Rana Verde and Roccio is an excellent vet and speaks English too if you need. clinicaveterinariadelmar.com/ **** Veterinaria del Mar. Near Rana verde. Rocio is a lovely lady. We have 5 dogs, and she's brilliant with all of them. ****

author: We have 5 parrots. Best vet for birds in Chiclana? We already heard of someone but I 'd like to hear other opinions....
The only exotic vets I would recommend for any bird, reptile, ferret etc is Hospital Veterinario La Arboleda in Puerto de Santa Maria, they are little far out but they have EVERYTHING that’s needed from regular check ups to MRI machines and Cardiologists. Javier is the exotic vet and wouldn’t let anyone else deal with my ferrets, he’s the best there is! ****
Centro Veterinario Santana 956 49 47 81 This is a specialist in exotic pets. ****
Santana Veterinary Center Camino del campsite la barrosa, s7N, 11130 Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz ****

(on another local expat site recently) author: Recommendations for Vets in the Chiclana area please. First hand experiences would be most helpful. Thank you Clínica Veterinaria Garola in rana verde are very good. The receptionist can translate if needed but I think two of the vets also speak English. **** Clinical Garola in Rana Verde are excellent. **** I've always used www.clinicasantana.com/ but that's because I've used them for 20 years before they were even a hospital. Great staff and great vets - very attentive **** I also use Santa Ana. Great staff . They have look after my cats and my dogs for years. ( Close to the beach) Rocio, Clinica Veterinaria del Mar is also really good. (Close to the town center) **** Animalia Los Gallos have always been brilliant for our really anxious cat and they have done home visits which have helped massively **** author: Thanks all that's brilliant . Most helpful

(on another local expat site recently) author: How much does it cost to check out a cat? Ours has been spayed but that's all she's had done. My daughter thinks we should have her examined and have shots. She's perfectly healthy and lives in and out. She's 7.
I might upset a few people with this answer but if she's healthy and been spayed then I wouldn't bother - Ours went to the vet 19 years ago to be spayed and hasn't been back since!! Apart from obvious old age there's nothing wrong with her and she's an outdoor / indoor cat. We worm her at home and do the obvious home meds but apart from that nothing ****
mine had yearly jabs until they were 5 years old, i just have their rabies jabs yearly. they are wormed regularly and have frontline/broadline every 6 weeks or so.

author: Cont from prev post if you live in Spain it is law for Rabies vaccination every year, cost can vary from different veterinary surgeries but no more than €20 per year, plus I also vaccinate Tetratrivente yearly €30 per year but this is not compulsory plus obviously you have to flea (every month) worm ( every 3 months) it’s cheaper to buy a bottle of frontline and if a kitten put 1 ml back of neck if adult cat 2 ml cheaper than pipettes ****
and I know not one person that does it around my area ****
go to the vet and ask for a price ****
I'm not going to start rabies injections now on my cat who is 19 and has never had one before. ****
it’s law for all cats and dogs to be vaccinated against Rabies in Spain ****
They're hardly going to arrest me - after 5 attempts trying to contact Seprona over a pup tied up over Christmas in the freezing weather and the owners on holiday, I finally gave up. They're just not interested ****
