author: Hi all, top tips for buying Renfe train tickets please. I’m looking for return tickets from San Fernando to Madrid changing in Seville or direct depending on times, but I can only book Seville to Madrid the website and app say that there is nothing available for the San Fernando - Seville journey, but when I search for dates in the next few days plenty of options appear, do I just have to wait until closer to the date? Maybe I can book over the phone? Any tips would be welcome, the journey is for mid December. TIA
my girlfriend had the same problem, we drove to San Fernando, and were able to buy ticket at the counter. xxxx
I think they put tickets up for sale 1 month before xxxx
I believe you can do Jerez de la Frontera train station to Madrid (Atocha) non stop. Good luck! xxxx
Strange… because I travelled to Madrid from San Fernando Bahia Sur to Seville and then connection to Atocha. No problems.( did it online not with app) xxxx

(on another local expat site recently) author: How would one go about catching the train from Jerez airport to San Fernando? Do you need to book in advance, where do I find the timetable, where is the train stop located, etc.? Thanks! you can get the train to the airport **** venta.renfe.com/vol/search.do?c=_co9R The station at Jerez is the other side of the car park in front of the building: www.google.com/.../data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5... **** Here is the website in English. Put in your departing point and destination and it will show you all trains that day, prices and availability. www.renfe.com/es/en **** There is an automated kiosk at the Jerez train station where you can buy your ticket if you didn't get one in advance. **** The train from Jerez airport is within walking distance by the P2 parking lot. The trains go every two hours to San Fernando Bahia Sur and costs 5.25 euros. Look up the Renfe page and it will give you full timetable **** Useful. That's a lot more frequent than they used to be. I usually get the train from Seville, 10 euros with a tarjeta dorada. **** might just be this schedule for now coming up to tourist season. They may revert back in the Winter - probably **** RENFE for buy and yes, do it in advance **** Defo need advance well in advance due to the deals renfe have. We fly into seville!and couldnt book a train as all full even though people get on and off at different stations. So we now book months in advance. We used to get tickets a!day before but not now. Real nuisance. ****
