I have a long pipe running down the back wall off our garden, open at the end but drilled holes all the way down to water the beds and then runs off to the grass. Bourgainvilla goes crazy as does the grass! xxxx
My backwash water is always flushed onto the lawn and thereafter waters the trees, no problems with either xxxx
Our backwash water goes straight onto the garden . Nothing died, it kept many plants alive through the summer xxxx

Now that's a brilliant idea, I just randomly direct my outlet hose around garden but its too heavy to move when full of water so might devising a permanent route for the pipe and making strategic holes in it. xxxx
we did similar thing with backwash hose but want to change for rigid pipe. Geraniums do well with the chlorine water xxxx
We water directly onto the garden and everything is happy. Little bit of chlorine kills the bugs. Never had a problem in 12 years. xxxx

author: WATER SAVING TIPS...Please add yours. If it´s yellow, let it mellow If it´s brown, flush it down
plumb your washing machine to water your plants, have your backwash pipe flexible to water your garden and plants, keep a bucket of pool water next to the loo so you don't have to flush - there are so many ways but these are the ones we do religiously ****
Guttering and water butts. Plus a few buckets dotted about! ****
Don't empty swimming pools unless absolutely necessary for maintenance. Keep them clean year round and vacuum to waste from time to time which introduces fresh water bit by bit when you top up. Its a shocking waste of water to completely refill the pool every year as many people seem to do. ****

thats is true. The locals inparticular let them go green through the winter and then empty and re-fill in late Spring. Im on my 4th now that has been done like this, but when emptied, all sorts of issues arise. Also, the police are considering sending drones to check pool that are green /empty one week and full the next !
