Try looking up NovoJet in Sancti Petri. They remt out boats, do fishing trips, kayaks etc. ****

author: Hi folks, do you know if I can buy caster sugar and golden syrup in chiclana?

Steve Litchfield but sugar is a lot finer than UK ****

lidls do big bags of caster sugar for baking, litchfield's for the golden syrup ****

If you put 1/2 cup measures of granulated sugar in a blender and pulse blend for a little bit it will turn it in to caster sugar for you ****

I find that Spanish granulated is only slightly bigger than English castor. Steve the Butcher sells golden syrup and probably castor sugar too. ****

author: Hi, another request for advice please, when we go to Sancti petri beach we always see families turning up with beach shelters/gazeboey things.
As we have some little ones coming in the summer I would like to get one but I can’t find one in the usual places, supermarkets china shops etc.
Can anyone give me some suggestions of where to try please?



You can get them on Amazon and are way cheaper than the one you'll get in the shops here. Just search sun shades for beach ****

Lidl sometimes do them in the summer ...the pop up ones are fine once you work out how to fold them up again .but there's a step by step YouTube video that shows you how .. ****

When my grandson came I used a couple of large parasols. They don’t heat up like the enclosed shelters and you can peg throws at the sides to give more shade, but still with a breeze ****

There is a choice on your account.. seur offices, allocated offices, different shops, pick up points, on the instructions of your choice it will tell you where accepts them ****

author: yes I know that however it only lists both collecting offices and possibly dropping off… it’s the dropping off which I haven’t found

If its with seur and u have ur barcode i take mine to papeleria copisteria melchor I took 2 parcels there yesterday morning ****

you can take it to the shop which is opposite Venta el Pino. But you have to select “Celeritas” . I usually take it without a label, and I get a little slip as a receipt. ****

author: Buenas tardes! I have now received quotes to put solar panels on the roof of my house.
It's a flat roof that we have used so far as a roof terrace.

The company tells me they have in the past put panels on a pergola (including in the center of Cadiz)
which would allow us to do a double whammy of solar +protected solarium!,
but they are unsure if it requires planning permission or not.

So the question is: Do you know who I could ask? or if there's a portal that lists building regulations or planning restrictions? Thanks.

Ben Walby: Most ferreterias will have them as well as builders merchants.

Ben Walby: Normally the metal one if for leccy (caja de contador de luz) and the fibre glass are for water (caja de contador de agua)
but its not super important which you use. If you are just after the door (puerta para la caja etc etc) the metal type have a small sprung
loaded hinge clip so they can be easily removed. The fibreglass ones generally do not, and you may find you have to ‘adapt’ it to get it in
place otherwise the whole box needs to be changed.

Yes! I use Trasteroland in Chiclana near Family Cash/the old Eroski. I did some comparisons locally, didn’t look outside of Chiclana to be honest
but this was the best for the size I needed (mine is the XL, 6m2). They have loads of different sizes, you have 24 hour access and everyone gets a unique code,
details on the alarm system etc. Very helpful and friendly and you can pull the car right up to the door! ****

Superb artist who goes by the name of Shaun Young. You’ll find him at “paradiso perdido” which is a small boutique hotel in Roche/Conil.
You can even go there and see his work. There are 2/3 on the walls around the hotel grounds and they are absolutely incredible.
I can get a number for him if you like, or just look their Facebook page up and message them direct. He works there.


You can find alonatural17 in Chiclana, she paints the most beautiful Colourful art and is highly experienced. You can find her work everywhere
in Chiclana, from restaurant tables to big murals. Besides, she’s just an amazing person overal. Be sure to check her out!! @ alonatural17 ****

I think most of them do them or the baby shops - Amazon next day delivery probably best. ****

I never use them on my son but when I have taken him to the public swimming pool they asked for him to use. I got them in Carrefour in El Colorado.

There's a good shop in chiclana town..Rastro Reto at 9 Calle Mendaro. @
Rastro Reto Cádiz . Not far from the food market. Clothes, shoes, household stuff. All nicely displayed.
opening times are Tues to Saturday 10 til 1pm plus Tues and Friday 17.30 til 20.00 ****

The animal rescue place next to Venta Campano is open at weekends. They have a warehouse full of stuff for
sale- clothes, furnishings, books, lamps etc ****

it's open 9 til 2pm sat & sunday. In the road behind venta campano..you'll see all the cars parked along the road .
It's adjacent to the bootsale. On the left there's a chain link fence with a big gate on the left..walk through the
gate and you'll see rails of clothes outside and there's also a big warehouse with more..... ****

There is one directly opposite Venta Espadita on the way into Chiclana from the direction of the athletismo.
It is on the right hand side in a row of shops with a ferreteria and a printing shop ****
