I have just read in the Diario de Cadiz
The tram will operate from 5-20am until 00-30am weekdays with 37 trams in that time.
Weekends it will have 19 trams a day
so
37 trams X 5 days X 52 weeks = 9,620 trams a year
19 trams X 2 days X 52 weeks = 1,976 trams a year
That is a total of 11,596 trams a year - assuming each tram full of 200 people
The last I heard, a tram from Pelegatos to Cadiz was 2-50€ giving a yearly income of 5,798,000€
The tram cost 268,000,000€ to build - so if we assume that they have to pay 2% interest on the loan that's 5,360,000€
Therefore, my assumption is that it cannot make a profit - so, when you use the tram, please put 1€ in the begging bowl
