author: we noticed an embargo on our bank account a few days ago for an amount of 72,13 from diputacion de cadiz. I went on the Sprygt dipucadiz.es site and there appears to be a page where you can find out what the debt is for (and pay it) However, when I put the ref number in the site said it has no record. We haven't had any bills for that amount and AFAIK we haven't missed any bill payments either nor missed any traffic fines etc. I've checked both our cars on buscas multas too. So can anyone tell me (a) how we find out what this is in respect of and (b) how we can pay it if I can't do so on the Sprygt site.
(there are no bar codes/methods of payment on any of the notifications I've seen so far and anyway I don't want to pay it before I know what it is for)
Drives me mad how useless the gov sites are with links that go nowhere and 404 errors... If I need to go to a gov office somewhere to find out, can anyone tell me where I'm meant to actually go to? it looks like there is an office in Sprygt office Chiclana that's meant for payment or help but as it gets the most terrible reviews (all 1* ) I'm not sure that's going to help me either...
thanks for any help anyone can give on this.
You will find out once the payment has been made by your bank and then you can try and claim it back we have had three embargo over the last few months and have failed to find out what any are for. xxxx
author:thanks .... It's very frustrating that spain has a system whereby gov bodies can just take money without substantiation..

Dave Fisher Hola - this all stems from when Chiclana Natural used a contractor for some work and Chiclana Natural didn't pay up. The contractor then sent bills to every Chiclana Natural customer for payment but was thwarted by non-payers etc. so went to the Supreme Court who allowed the payments to go ahead - Bills were issued and I advised all 500+ ChiFRA members to pay up
author: thanks Dave. So far we've never received a bill to pay..I guess we can just wait and let them take it from our account. I'm sure I've seen somewhere on FB that some people have paid these at the sede office and the embargo has still been taken..IE they've paid twice.
I received a notification but at that time it wasn't a bill. Then it appeared in my sede account and I had to pay it. Amazing what they can do xxxx
author: We've never had anything at all..aside from this sudden embargo. I've looked it up on sede with the embargo details and there's nothing

author: Well, as an update, got a knock on the door today and a signed for notice from dipucadiz and a bill for 72.13 euro but it still doesn't say what it's for... just that it's an embargo (the bank have now taken the money anyway). Its dated 4 October, so it's 5 weeks late and we had no opportunity to pay it on time... looks like there are fees for late payment included (on a bill that we had no method of paying til now - a nice little earner for Dipucadiz..). I tried online when we saw the bank embargo but there wasn't a bar code on that notification to enable payment. Anyway, I'm assuming it is, as Dave has said, a bill from Chiclana Natural.
