author: I just saw a near miss with the tram this afternoon in San Fernando, woman had clearly jumped the lights and ended up stuck on the tracks as traffic with right of way wasn't stopping to let her out😱she was lucky a gap appeared before she was hit. Earlier when sitting having lunch we saw a woman strolling with her child in buggy really close to the track and ignoring the tram driver's frantic hooting of horn, the tram passed within inches of her, crazy woman. They are going to wear the thing out before they get any passengers on it.
More reason to be aware and take notice of lights and xxxx
I saw one today on the stretch between San Fernando and Cadiz...first time ive seen one there. xxxx
Christ, had it broken down xxxx
No, it was definately moving!😂 xxxx
They need barriers that come down to stop the flow of traffic xxxx

author: I read on line that the Trambahia from Chiclana to Cadiz was free to the end of 2023…wondering if this is true…if not can I purchase tickets on line? Thanks in advance.
You pay 10€ and get the a bono renfe card can make as many trips as you want 1st may - 31 august if you make more then 16 trips you get the 10 back. ****
As far as I am aware It's only free for people who have a Renfe card because the make frequent train journeys. You get 30% discount with the card from the transport consortium which you can get from the bus stations or Estancos. I don't think you can book on line, there are ticket machines at all the stops. ****
you can buy a card at the estanco, similar to an oyster card, it costs 1/50 and you put the amount you want on it., it’s a once only payment for the card and then you can top up whenever you like. This can also be used on buses and the catamaran from Cadiz to el puerto. It’s also very much cheaper to use , can’t remember exactly but I think from Chiclana to Cadiz cost 3.20 but with the card it’s around 1 euro . You only need to buy one card and then swipe it with the number of passengers, definitely worth buying. ****
agreed. You need the green card not the local yellow one, but the green one can be used local or further afield in Cadiz province. For local buses you just tap it with the bus driver (half the cost compared with cash), for the tram you tap in and tap out at the start and end stations. ****
yes I have had one for many years ****

🔴 Tram accident at the height of the Agustin Sale A unit of the Bay tram has suffered an accident when it collided with a vehicle at the height of the August Sale. The incident took place at 12:45 p.m. and fortunately, no casualties have been reported. Fire crews have arrived at the scene to facilitate the evacuation of passengers.
Roundabouts in Spain with their unique and bizarre rules are already a nightmare. Hot headed drivers overtaking and cutting people off on both sides if you don't go fast enough for them. This particular roundabout also has a tram cutting through the middle with traffic lights. I'm actually surprised there aren't even more accidents! ****
There was a three car crash on the same roundabout later that night!! ****
Followed a Guardia vehicle yesterday, at the McDo roundabout just went all the way around in the outside lane to take the direction he had just come from. I don't know what they think the inside lane is for 🤔.... maybe to turn right ****
