Can anybody please tell me what the present situation is regarding ITV inspections? My moto needed repair (in fact it had completely "died"), and it was still off the road when its ITV was due in July 2021. I have, at long last, got it going again - and now can't find any local ITV testing stations with any appointments available! I normally use Tres Caminos, but that has nothing available. Likewise San Fernando. When trying to make an online appointment a message says that vehicles nearing their ITV expiry date, or those whose ITV had already expired, would receive priority - but what does one do if NO appointments are offered? I know that during lockdown there was a sort of "amnesty" for ITV's because of the extreme delays, but what is the situation now that nearly everything seems to be back to almost normal (except, seemingly, for ITV inspections)?

Car was also 'off the road' when it's ITV was due in June 2021. It was at the mechanic's. Went online, cancelled existing appointment & rebooked for a later date 2 wks ahead. Took the 1st appointment available at Tres Caminos (our usual ITV centre) The day was ok although the time was early - 8.30am. Also received phone messages to say ''ITV cancelled'' or ''ITV booked'' etc.

I did not make an ITV appointment before the expiry date because the moto had been "dead" for some months and, as I hadn't been able to find what was wrong, I thought it would probably have to be scrapped. Having replaced almost everything I thought was causing the problem with new components (to no avail), I was on the verge of giving up when I dispondently gave the starter one more try - and it suddenly purred into action! In fact the engine is running smoother now than when I first purchased the moto in 2008, but sadly that is of little use if I can't get it ITV'd. Both Tres Caminos and San Fernando have no appointments available, just a message stating "no hay disponibles" (not available). So, what would be the situation if I drove the moto on the road without an up to date ITV, when there are NO appointments available to get an ITV? The moto is insured but, of course, the insurance would be void if there is no ITV. Is there still a moratorium because of the delays in getting vehicles inspected?
