Saw this on another site yesterday. So looked at phone & YES! Group 'Settings' were 'Everyone' Followed below & easily changed. if you use WhatsApp, you might need to do the following: WhatsApp has changed its group settings to include “everyone” by default, so people you don’t actually know can now add you to a group without your knowing or permission! These people may include scam messages, etc. and a privacy security risk too. To change the default settings as follows: 1. Go to WhatsApp 2. Go to Settings 3. Go to Account 4. Go to Privacy 5. Go to Groups 6. Change from "Everyone" to "My Contacts" 7. Click “Done”

Hola,
You will get a message telling you that you have been added to a group when anyone acting as an administrator adds you to a group. A message will also appear when you leave a group. That said, it is a good idea to reduce the people that can add your phone number as a group but don't worry unduly, You will receive a message letting you know
