Today received monthly electric bill from Endesa: Total €312.66 I do know that there was an increase 'announcement' (last year)
This isn't about the amount of electric used - it's just showing the increase in price for the same home, same occupancy, same appliances - nothing has changed.
Previous years: Bill date: 12/2/2018 €180.91
Por energia consumida €134.49
Bill dated:01/2/2019 €204.28
Por energia consumida €138.34
Bill dated:03/2/2020 €185.41
Por energia consumida €125.58
Bill dated:03/2/2021 €312.66
Por energia consumida €223.50
Over 3yrs amount to pay went up or down €20 - this year it has gone up by €127
nb have now added additional info 'Por energia consumida'

Unfortunately you cannot gauge energy costs by comparing one months bill over the last several years. For example the previous bill may have been a low/high estimate for one year making a "catch up" situation in the next month. The only accurate way to draw a comparison is by looking at your annual units consumed versus your annual costs. It is however certain that costs have increased.

Wanted to see how much electric was costing So totalled: 12 monthly Direct Debits for 2018 12 monthly Direct Debits for 2019 12 monthly Direct Debits for 2020 Total amount paid for 2019 was exactly €4 more than for 2018 Total amount paid for 2020 was €155 more than for 2019 (roughly €13 more per month) Electric bills for all appliances used (including heating) is extremely good value (all monthly electric bills: shewed actual readings & not estimated)
