Yesterday morning after unable to send a WhatsApp message - found out that internet connection was down. Message kept saying ''check your internet connection'' I did this in ''settings'' it showed internet was on + the signal-strength ''strong'' Switched everything off waited 2mins then switched everything on plugs all ok, lights all on & working.
Unplugged everything waited then plugged each 1 back in again, lights all on & working.
This went on all day - was able to make & receive a phone call but no messaging service.
Last night before retiring - unplugged from the electric wall-socket (thought it might reset itself) This morning plugged into the electric socket tv all working, router lights all on & working but no internet connection.
I've managed to find out that the DNS Server isn't responding - so I'll Tel Chiclana Wifi when they open at 9am.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Chiclana Wifi have always been very good at letting us know if they are working on anything or system is down.

UPDATE: NOW SORTED Tel Chiclana Wifi at 9.10am today, told by office they could see the router was working fine. (presumably my Tel No showed my clients a/c)
However aerial needs reconfiguring: tecno guy out at present - will do it from there (the office) when he returns about 1hr.
Internet back on at 10.10am today, WhatsApp messages coming thru.
Almost the same time 10.12am received Tel call from tecno guy ''just checking if internet back on''
I replied ''yes it is & many thanks!
(pity I wasted a whole day yesterday presuming it was my end) - never mind Hey ho! now all ok - whatever did we do before Whatsapp

Tecno guy out at present but will do it from there (the office) when he returns - will be about 1hr. Internet back on at 10.10am today, WhatsApp messages started to come thru, received Tel call from Tecno guy ''checking if internet back on'' I replied ''WhatsApp working fine thank you'' (pity I wasted a whole day yesterday presuming it was my end) - never mind Hey ho! now all ok - whatever did we do before Whatsapp Hola, Before WhatsApp we actually used the phone as a phone and talked to someone LOL Davexf

My TV has been playing up now rang Steve Harris and he informed me it is sky internets problem x(only them) tried to contact them now answer. Could anyone tell me best number to call.Will not be a happy bunny if it remains like this all weekend

I've had an email from Sky Internet saying
Dear customer,
We contact you to inform that one of our main providers is suffering an issue in the area. This issue concern our Internet service, so meanwhile we are keeping a minimum service through our backup. For that reason, you can notice your speed slower than normal. We would also inform you that at the end of this month we will have a new fiber optic. This means that our Internet service will improve.
Apologies for the inconveniences
So I tested it and I still get 15Mb download but tried switching to my Vodafone phone s router and TV isn't brilliant

Latest update: The fiber optics are being replaced at the moment, it’s a 200m long cable they have to replace hence the long wait. They have to move a lot of equipment to replace it. Sorry for the trouble.
