(saw this on another local expat site today) author: Hola! We're a family of five moving to Chiclana from Iceland in September. We're looking to rent a car long term. We're flying in to Málaga airport and plan to drive directly from there to our new home. Do you have any advice on where is best to rent cars long-term, either in Málaga or Chiclana - or any other solutions for leasing a car at least until December? Many thanks when we moved over we had a one month car hire which was very expensive but I had already found cars which were what we wanted and bought one very quickly. That might work out better for you. Www.coches.net or even Facebook marketplace. xxxx when we moved here in 2019 we got a very good rate on a 6 week rental through 'Do You Spain' with pick up and drop off at Malaga airport xxxx author: thanks xxxx , awesome I'll give them a call It depends on what you mean by long term. Car hire is generally cheaper at the airports but often they’ll only agree a maximum rental period of 30 days. I have seen advertising aimed at Americans by Avis who offer them rental cars for as long as they need them whilst they’re in Spain. If you’re moving to Spain for at least a couple of years and have proof of income then vehicle leasing might be your best option. Banc Sabadell and Catalana Occidente both offer very cheap deals. A new car with servicing, maintenance, insurance, tax all included starting from a little over €200 per month depending on car type and mileage requirement. xxxx

(on another local expat site recently)
For second hand cars of good quality these people aren't cheap but are an excellent showroom.
It's a family concern and the daughter speaks English. ttp://www.valleauto.es/ ****
