Hola a todos
I received a self explanatory plea for help today from AUAN
Today the president of AUAN, Maura Hillen, together with their legal advisor & spokesperson, Gerardo Vazquez, went to the Parliament of Andalusia in Seville to speak about the amendment to the LOUA, requested by homeowners and presented by the PP. AUAN explained the necessity of this report for social, humanitarian and environmental reasons.
They learned that the Commission will debate the Climate Change Bill on 19th June. Their amendment could be rejected at this stage, so AUAN have a lot of work to do to lobby for support.
The PSOE are sadly proving to be the biggest obstacle at the moment, but we are piling the pressure on. It would be helpful in this regard if you could share and/or comment and/or like our media posts on our Facebook Page "AUAN Association". It is followed by a lot of press and politicians.
This Ex-Pat group have achieved "miracles" in law changes in the past; they achieved a law change to have compensation BEFORE demolition in both civil and criminal cases, and have also got the AFO law change through for properties outside a PGOU town plan to receive their basic human rights of electricity and drinking water.
This latest change allows an AFO for properties inside a PGOU town plan; this is because it can take decades for an area to be "urbanised" which stops their basic human right to electricity and drinking water.
The cost of this amendment is around 20,000€; there is an opportunity on their Facebook page to donate money. Even 10€ will help them cover their costs. Remember this amendment will help all people in illegal houses.
