Just a quick post to thank Graham Claytor.
Who responded quickly and resolved my boiler problem without drama or any hand wringing.
A knowledgeable ally to have and at a fair cost.

Very happy to add our recommendation for Graham.
We arrived home after a couple of weeks back in the UK at midnight, switched on the electric water boiler, only for it to trip the electrics, so no hot water. Managed to speak with Graham about midday the following day and he was round a few hours later, diagnosed the problem, went and got the necessary parts to repair and then got it all back up and running a few hours later, at a very reasonable price.
