As many of you will be aware, Jackie suffers with Parkinson’s Disease and Addison’s Disease, both of which are now being exacerbated by the stress of running Streetcats and Beachcats. The very difficult decision has, therefore, been made that with immediate effect Streetcats will no longer take in and rehome any more cats and kittens.
Homes must now be found as soon as possible for the 35 plus cats and kittens currently under the care of Streetcats and, more importantly, foster homes are urgently required to take the burden away from Jackie. If you are able to foster on a short-term basis, please contact us straight away. Everything you need will be provided and you will be fully supported.
Fundraising will continue for the foreseeable future in order to pay for the food, treatment and rehoming of cats and kittens currently at Casa Luz and Casa Tom, also food and treatment for the Beachcats but, under no circumstances, will Streetcats accept any more cats or kittens.
We hope you will all understand and abide by Jackie’s decision. The work she has done over the years has been amazing, however, her health is of paramount importance and we are sure you will agree that nobody deserves a rest more than Jackie does. Please do not add to Jackie’s stress by emailing, phoning or speaking to her in person if you find an abandoned cat or kitten. Please email streetcats.es@hotmail.com if you have any questions.
Thanking you for your continued support and assistance.
