(on another local expat site recently) author: Can anyone who's eaten in all the Chinese restaurants in Chiclana give a run down? I ate my first Chinese meal here at Grand Chino and it wasn't too good. Soup was hot but very gelatinous. Tempura veg OK. Sweet and sour prawns ok, but a bit soggy, and roasted pork with ginger tasted good but was just smothered with a heap of sauce, no presentation. My local takeaway in London is far better. I'd like to try again here, but not sure where to go? There is nowhere that remotely compares to an “English” style Chinese if that makes sense. Feng shui is ok but again for me, nowhere near uk standards of a decent sit down restaurant **** I use this place in Puerto Real for takeaway and I find it ok ..they deliver to the PR hospital car park ..where I pick it up The restaurant is across from the railway station in PR I love the Family Feliz and the Duck and the spring rolls aren't bad Restaurante Chino "Cantonese" 956 83 06 76 **** maps.app.goo.gl/sy9V4cA4JzQuK5iY6We went to Sushi panda in the summer and again in November and although not Chinese and predominantly sushi, there are some lovely noodle and rice dishes. I know the do “ sushi” to take away. I have never eaten their sushi but their “paellas” are delicious. That is exciting! Thanks for sharing. ****
Their paellas are supposed to be the best in town ****
I don’t doubt that ! It is my usual Sunday lunch. ****

If you want a Spanish Venta with reasonable price try Las Manuelas, back from the beach but good local food.
Everything on el palmar beach is either expensive or not very good IMO.. ****

For those who might not have found this delight it is a Spanish news piece on my friend's African restaurant in Jerez. She is an amazing person, a barrister working and living here 17 years,
raising three incredible children. Praise for her food at the annual African day in Jerez caused her to rethink her life and open this restaurant in April 2023 and so far it has been very well received.
You'll find it in plaza del banco, just off calle larga. She will be starting African and Flamenco dance acts later this year.

author: went to Bubble Burger for lunch after someone recommended their fish'n chips.
Ordered: English-style Fish'n Chips for 1 Person
Cod perfectly cooked & covered in a crisp batter, was sat on top of the chips, + small pot of mushy (garden) peas.
Was the largest piece of fish I'd ever had. With a little help from my companions we managed to clear the plate!
DELICIOUS! BEST FISH & CHIPS I HAVE EVER EATEN
(couldn't/didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day/evening)
