I think the humidity and weather here generally seems to rot some types of plastic and make them unstable... so if bits are crumbling off
it might continue to do so.. you could try buying a strong case from Amazon etc to put it in which might hold it together ? ****

if you really want it fixed there is a repair shop in Los Gallos. Never used it myself ****

I had a Huawei phone and my Samsung Galaxy transferred all info over when I set it up ****

Sounds like hardware, possibly graphics chip. What laptop and what OS? ****

author: It's a HP laptop and OS is Windows 11

I’m a Mac guy, so ymmv but is there any flicker of life on screen when you boot it? If no then new machine is cheaper.
If yes it might hopefully be software, but that is the end of my knowledge on win machines ****
