author: For folk complaining about ther fuel bills: The following measures will be in force from July 1 until December 31, 2022 and will temporarily reduce your electricity bill: VAT is reduced from 10% to 5%, for powers less than or equal to 10kW and provided that market prices remain above €45/MWh. The reduction of the General Rate of Electricity Tax is extended to 0.5%." Also "The Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, has confirmed the Spanish government will extend the 20-cent discount per liter of fuel beyond the end of June when the decree enabling it expires . Note that the UK Government doing absolutely nothing to help those in most need. We are comparatively lucky here in our adopted country.
