(saw this on another local expat site today)
Author Has anybody ordered something from the UK and been charged customs or whatever extra to be delivered to Spain? What is the process - do you get a message ftom customs to pay online before delivery or pay on arrival to postman?
My parcel was held by the post office and I had to pay them, they put a notice through my postbox xxxx
I have had texts advising me of custom duty to be paid at the door upon delivery. xxxx
I've never actually ordered anything on line but a while back my family sent one large package it cost around £30 to send and when I went to the post office to collect it, it cost me another charge of approx 30€ I think it was due to the size of the parcel. xxxx
Yes and when you pay it has to be cash and no receipt. xxxx
My daughter sent me a parcel via UPS. Valued at 15 ponds and had to pay 23 euros duty online before it was delivered. xxxx
I had a parcal delivered to Posthouse thatnweighed very little and got charged 32 euro, Posthouse informed me xxxx
Pay the postman xxxx
