I have just flown a rescued cat from Gibraltar to Heathrow on BA. It is very expensive but an excellent service. The formalities are complicated. If you would like more information please PM. You can also check out the DEFRA website www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad which has all the info you need.

Can recommend Home from Home overland transport based in Malaga but collect from Chiclana, just taken my sisters dogs to uk, door to door service.
Also Animal Express also based in Malaga but collect all along the coast.
Puppies in Crisis have used both companies many times, both have web sites.

I can personally recommend Posh Pets, also near Malaga. They collected one of our dogs from home and delivered her to the door of my niece.

I took both my dogs back with me by Tui airlines on 17th December Malaga/London Gatwick, cost me £850.00 for both dogs. Had to buy their transporters from the pet shop, but they travelled in cargo on my flight, which was quick for the dogs. The only thing I can say is to make sure when you buy the transporters that when they sit in them their heads are at least 10inches gap from the top. When I brought my dogs transporters the pet shop said they were fine as they could turn ok and there was only about a inch gap between their heads and top. When at Malaga they refused to let them fly in the transporters because of the rules & regulations for the head height, but I was very lucky as they had a transporter which was big enough to carry both my dogs together which was no problem for me for them to travel in the same crate, if they never had this spare crate I would have had a lot of problems.
